THE BRIEF

To build and install a 2-metre-high typographic sculpture for Leeds City Council as part of their 2021 City of Culture bid.

THE SOLUTION

After receiving the designs fabricated the letters from steel, using a series of parallel bracing rods and rolled steel sheets. We then welded the edges, blending them to create a seamless form with no visible joins.

The structures were then powder coated to create a really smooth and flat finish.

Each design was printed onto clear vinyl film and then applied to polycarbonate sheets and fitted within the huge letters.
